Budget Rent a Car Corporation in the United States was founded in 1958 in Los Angeles, California with only 10 cars.  In 1960 it created the system of independent franchises and its development was fruitful in the following years.  In 1987 it offered its stocks to the stock market in New York.  In 2002, Budget Car Rental Corporation is bought in the United States by Cendant Corporation, the owner of a large array of enterprises in several sectors of the economy.   Later CENDANT divided and created AVISBUDGET GROUP as the largest corporation on the market, it had more than 6,000 locations for rent in North America, Latin America, the Caribbean, Australia, New Zealand and others in Europe, Asia y Africa, and it is the second company with more fleet in the United States.
