Barva Volcano Sector
The Barva Volcano Sector is part of Braulio Carrillo National Park and is one of the region’s main natural attractions. The protected area includes trails through cloud forests, scenic viewpoints, and volcanic lagoons.SINAC identifies four trails in this sector: Cacho Venado, Laguna Barva, Copey, and Mirador Vara Blanca. Together, they cover approximately 10 kilometers.
San José de la Montaña
This community is located along the route to the Barva Volcano Sector. The drive passes through rural landscapes and higher-elevation areas, where temperatures are generally cooler than in the lower parts of the Central Valley.
